Davis enters his fifth season with the Gallaudet University football program in 2012 and his third as Assistant Head Football Coach/Defensive Coordinator. On June 24, 2011, Davis was also promoted to Admissions Liaison for the Athletics Department.
Davis completed his second season as Gallaudet’s assistant head football coach/defensive coordinator this past year. In 2009, his first as the defensive coordinator, the Bison finished the season ranked No. 6 in the nation for total defense as the Bison only allowed 245.30 yards per game. Gallaudet's pass defense was ranked No. 4 among NCAA Division III teams as the Buff and Blue limited opponents to 109.10 yards per game. The Gallaudet defense was also nationally ranked for pass efficiency defense (No. 29) and scoring defense (No. 30). On December 17, 2009, Davis was promoted to Assistant Head Football Coach.
Davis served as Gallaudet's secondary coach in 2008. The Lynchburg, Va., native is a proud graduate from Liberty University where he lettered in football. The scholarship player completed three seasons with the Flames. Davis played high school football at E.C. Glass High School under the tutelage of Coach Wayne Lance, who currently coaches at Atlantic Shores High School in Virginia Beach, Va. At E.C. Glass, Davis was named a prep-star All-American and earned All-Region and All-District honors as a defensive back.
Davis and his wife Octavia have three children Alana, Myles and Gavin who currently reside in Virginia.
