Schedule changes for Gallaudet men's and women's basketball announced

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Gallaudet University athletics department has released updated men's and women's basketball schedules for next week after a major snowstorm postponed upcoming games.

The Bison were slated to play Hood College on Saturday, February 6, in Frederick, Md., but those Capital Athletic Conference games were postponed Friday due to snow. The two games will be made up on Tuesday, February 9, in Frederick, Md., at the Fort Detrick Odom Fitness Center. The women's game will tip at 6 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8 p.m.

As a reminder to all Gallaudet fans planning on attending the Hood games, please review the important announcement made the other week, (www.gallaudetathletics.com/sports/mbkb/2009-10/releases/hoodprocedures) and follow the strict guidelines as the games are being played on a military installation.  

As was announced on Friday, the men's and women's basketball doubleheader on the road against Christendom College has been moved from Monday, February 8, to Thursday, February 18. The game times remain the same with the women's game at 6 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8 p.m.

The CAC announced Friday evening that all conference games scheduled for Wednesday, February 10, will be moved to Thursday, February 11, to help accommodate the make-up games from the weekend. Thus, the Gallaudet and York (Pa.) College men's and women's doubleheader slated for Wednesday will now be played on Thursday at GU in the Field House. The game times remain the same as the women's game tips at 6 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8 p.m.
