Call for Gallaudet University Athletics Hall of Fame nominations set for January 2012
The Gallaudet University athletics department announced Tuesday that the next round of nominations for the Athletics Hall of Fame will begin next year in January 2012. There will not be a GU Athletics Hall of Fame induction this fall.

The Gallaudet University Athletics Department recently announced the two recipients of the Bison of the Month for January and both are repeat winners. Men's swimming junior Brian Bennett (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and women's basketball senior Easter Faafiti (Pittsburg, Calif.) were selected, marking the second time each has been honored this season.

The Gallaudet University athletics department is excited to announce free admission to next Wednesday’s men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader (January 12) to all faculty, staff and teachers that present their official Gallaudet ID at the gate. The doubleheader is an afternoon special as the men’s basketball game tips at 2 p.m. followed by the women’s basketball game at 4 p.m.

Gallaudet University made a special announcement to the campus community this week about parking lot closures for this weekend due to the WORLDEAF Cinema Festival. These closures will affect fans planning to attend Saturday night’s Gallaudet football game against SUNY Maritime scheduled for 6 p.m. at Hotchkiss Field.

Tickets are currently on sale for the 2010 Gallaudet University Athletic Hall of Fame Induction ceremony that will be held on Sunday, October 31, at 10 a.m. The Sunday brunch will be held in the Ole Jim on the campus of Gallaudet University. Tickets cost $50 and can be purchased only in advance through the GU Athletics Department.
