Bison bid farewell to seniors Keller, Lentz & Alley

WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Buff and Blue took on St. Joseph's College in a three-game series over the weekend. Gallaudet won game two in a 12-9 decision; St. Paul's took games 1 and 3 with 16-6 and 3-1 results.

The series was the culmination of seniors Warren Keller, Ryan Lentz and Kevin Alley's careers as Bison baseball players.

Alley led the series for the Buff and Blue with a 4-for-7 performance including a pair of home runs, five stolen bases and scoring five runs. Alley had a team-high 31 stolen bases in 31 attempts (2007), and improved on that in 2008, stealing 42 bases in 44 attempts. In game three, Alley pitched six innings, picking up five strikeouts.

Warren Keller pitched game one, striking out three in seven innings of work. Freshman Zane Noschese picked up his first career win on the mound in game two, pitching seven innings, fanning three batters.

All told, the Bison scored 19 runs off 21 hits against St. Paul's. With the 2008 season in the books, Head Coach Matt Lisle looks to continue building his team and prepare for 2009.
