WASHINGTON - Gallaudet University's baseball team will have to wait a few more days before its 2015 season can officially get underway. Hoy Field, which is still snow covered, will need to thaw out this weekend as warmer temperatures are slated for the nation's capital on Sunday before the Bison can hit the field.
Gallaudet was slated to begin this year's campaign tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 21) against Southern Vermont. That game has been cancelled and will not be made up. The doubleheader with Penn St.-Harrisburg has been pushed from Sunday, Feb. 22, to Tuesday, Feb. 24, with a new start time of 1 p.m. GU will then host Marymount (Va.) University on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 3 p.m. instead of traveling to Marymount because its field is unplayable. All games are subject to change.
