GU football players help welcome and move-in new students
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Gallaudet University football team used its strength and charm on Wednesday morning to welcome new students and their families to Kendall Green. The Bison players volunteered for several hours in the morning to help move new students into their dorm room at Benson Hall as part of GU’s New Student Orientation program.
“Our student-athletes are always willing to help out the Gallaudet University community whenever possible. We wanted to continue our tradition to help move-in new students and welcome them and their families to Gallaudet,” said GU football coach Chuck Goldstein. “We look forward to seeing these new Gallaudet students along with their family and friends out at Hotchkiss Field on Saturdays this fall to support us and the rest of the Bison athletic teams.”
Gallaudet’s first game is on Saturday, September 4, on the road against the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at 2 p.m. GU’s first home game will be on Saturday, September 18, at Noon against George Mason University.
