MINNEAPOLIS – The Gallaudet University football team's strong start to the 2012 season continues to earn national recognition. This week, D3football.com's Around the Nation (ATN) feature released its latest Top 50 national poll and the Bison made the rankings for the first-time ever as they checked in at No. 44. These rankings are made by D3football.com columnist Keith McMillan and are not an official coaches or media poll ranking. The article states; "ATN ranks teams past the top 25, so those of you on the cusp can get an idea of where you stand and what it will take to move up."
Gallaudet is 3-1, 1-0 in the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) through four games this season. Their only loss came in Week 1 against undefeated Otterbein University by a score of 15-0. Otterbein (4-0) is No. 31 in the Around the Nation poll. Since then, the Bison have cruised to three straight victories by an average of 25 points. Gallaudet is the only ECFC team in the ATN poll.
