WASHINGTON, D.C. – An annual tradition for the Gallaudet University football program took place Monday morning as Bison players gathered at Benson Hall for two hours to help move-in new students coming to Kendall Green. The players used their strength and charm to provide a pleasant welcome to parents and students moving into their dorm rooms.
“This is something our players always look forward to during training camp because it gives them a chance to help out new students as they move into their dorm rooms,” said GU head coach Chuck Goldstein, now in his third year. “We hope to see these new students and their friends and families out at Hotchkiss Field on Saturday’s this fall to support us and the rest of the Bison athletic teams.”
The GU football players will also help on Wednesday, August 22, in the morning for several hours to help more students move into the dorms.
Gallaudet kicks off its season on Saturday, September 1, on the road against Otterbein University in a non-conference game at 1 p.m.
