CLEVELAND – On Saturday night, the Cleveland Gladiators will go up against the Arizona Rattlers in ArenaBowl XXVII here at Quicken Loans Arena on national television (ESPN) at 8 p.m. Former Gallaudet University football standout Tony Tatum is one of the players on the Gladiators (19-1), who last lost a game on May 31.
Tatum has recorded 10.5 tackles and one pass breakup for Cleveland (19-1) this season as he has seen action in four games. Tatum played for the Utah Blaze last year where he made 17 tackles and three interceptions in five starts.
The Gladiators are making their first appearance in the ArenaBowl. They have been a franchise in Cleveland since 2008. Cleveland has won eight straight games since it last loss back at the end of May.
In Tatum’s last season at Gallaudet, he was named to the 2012 D3football.com All-American fourth team defense, the Beyond Sports Network All-America first team, Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Defensive Player of the Year, ECFC Special Teams Player of the Year. Tatum was named to the All-ECFC team three consecutive years during his time as a Bison.
