WASHINGTON – Gallaudet University football team took a break from the preseason grind Wednesday to lend a helping hand to the incoming freshman class during the annual move-in day on campus.
Move-in day has been a strong tradition for the football program, helping new students setup their new homes with ease at Benson Hall. This gives the Bison an opportunity to greet new students and generate support for the upcoming football season.
"The players are always happy to help the community at Gallaudet. Move-in day is a proud tradition for our program to be involved with,” said head coach Chuck Goldstein, who enters his seventh season. "We hope to see all the new students, current students, alumni and fans at all the home games (for all sports) this year cheering on the Bison."
Gallaudet kicks off its season on Saturday, Sept. 3, against Shenandoah University under the lights at 7 p.m. in a non-conference game at Hotchkiss Field.
