Goldstein became Gallaudet University's 36th head football coach in the program's 116-year history on December 17, 2009. The 2010 season will be his first season as the head coach and the second with the program.

The 2009 season was Goldstein's first season with the Bison as Gallaudet finished second in the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference and posted a 6-4 record. The winning mark against a complete varsity schedule is the first since 1930. Goldstein helped to implement a new offensive scheme this season as GU ran the triple-option attack. Gallaudet finished the year ranked No. 9 in the nation in rushing as the Buff and Blue averaged 290.8 yards per game among NCAA Division III schools. Goldstein also adds the title of NCAA Compliance Officer to his title as he overtakes that position at Kendall Green and relinquishes the strength and conditioning duties.

Goldstein arrived at Gallaudet from North Point High School in Waldorf, Md., where he was the Physical Education Department Chair for four years. At North Point, he was the strength and conditioning coach, weight training teacher and offensive coordinator for the football team. Goldstein designed a weight training curriculum for the Charles County Board of Education. He also served two different stints as an assistant college football coach at Salisbury University (2002-04) and Averett University (2001).

The Germantown, Md., native is a proud graduate from Salisbury University (Class of 2001) where he majored in exercise science and physical education. While at Salisbury, Goldstein started two years at linebacker for the Sea Gulls. Goldstein transferred to SU from Frostburg State University where he played two seasons.

Goldstein and his wife Stephanie have one son (Hunter) and reside in Waldorf, Md.
