Bison drop to Salisbury 88-75 despite 50 combined points from Gonzalez and Mowl

SALISBURY,Md.--The Buff and Blue fell to Salisbury tonight, despite a combined 50-point effort from guards Lance Gonzalez and Jon Mowl. A streak of 6 three-pointers made the difference as the Sea Gulls stayed on top, 88-75.

The Bison were leading by six points when the Sea Gulls took command of the three-point shooting. In the first half, both teams combined for 34 treys. A flurry of six consecutive long-range shots put Salisbury on a 17-3 run to take control of the game.

Sophomore guard Lance Gonzalez had a career high 30 points, as he was 7-for-16 from the field and 3-for-8 from long range. Gonzalez also made 13 of 14 free throws to take game-high scoring honors.  Junior guard Jon Mowl followed suit with a 20-point, 8-rebound performance. He tied Onye Davis for with a team-high three assists.

Davis would finish one point shy of a double-double, pulling down 12 rebounds and posting 9 points.

Gallaudet (6-17, 4-10) takes the road to St. Mary's College on Saturday February 16 before coming home and closing out the regular season at home against York College on February 20.
