WASHINGTON, D.C.--The men's basketball team had its annual banquet at the Field House this month. The coaching staff and players gathered for a final wrap-up before the summer break, enjoying dinner and individual player awards.
Jon Mowl earned Most Outstanding Player honors. Mowl led the Bison averaging 18.3 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game.
Johnny Jackson picked up the Coaches' Award, for setting the
ideal of a selfless player. Coach Barber commented: "Johnny always
thinks for the team first, and puts himself second. He's also
always got that smile on his face!"
Freshman Bobby Siebert picked up Most Improved Player, a testament to his committment and diligent practice skills. Siebert saw time in 23 of 25 games off the bench, and is expected to continue his improvement into the 2008-09 season.
