Gallaudet basketball teams to host Midnight Madness Event on Tuesday

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Gallaudet University men’s and women’s basketball teams will be hosting Midnight Madness on Tuesday, Oct. 23, in the Field House. The festivities will begin immediately following the completion of the women’s volleyball game against Catholic University that starts at 7 p.m.

The free event will feature the stars of the Bison men's and women's basketball teams and will give attendees the opportunity to participate in several different contests. Fans are invited to be part of the Hot Shot Contest, Half-Court Shot Contest and 3-Point Contest. The evening will culminate with a Dance-Off that will allow fans to show off their moves against the best of the Bison players.

The men’s team kicks off its season on Nov. 15th at home against Maryland Bible College while the women’s team opens their season on Nov. 20th in a home game against Christendom College.

Both teams feature new head coaches as Brendan Stern makes his debut as the men’s coach while Stephanie Stevens takes over the women’s program. The event gives fans a chance to get to know the new coaches and interact with their favorite players, so be sure to stick around for Midnight Madness after the volleyball game!
