Bison soccer scores first goal at home in 6-1 loss
WASHINGTON, DC--Gallaudet played host to the Villa Julie Mustangs in conference play. Today's match saw the highest offensive output from the Buff and Blue as they notched 12 shots in a 6-1 loss to the Mustangs.
Bison freshman Zane Noschese booted his goal off the right goalpost past Mustang goalie Adam Wiatrowski to put the Bison in the books at the 52:59 mark. The Mustangs were already up 4-0 at that point, but the goal spoke of the marked improvement that the Bison showed on the soccer field today. Goalie David Owens recorded 17 saves, allowing six goals in 27 shots faced.
Justin DiBiase, Matt Bujak, Justin Arrigo and Brandon Winebarger were among the group that joined Noschese in the group of Bison shooters.
For the Mustangs, Justin Carver (1), Tyler King (1), Brent Woolford (2), Mark Franklin (1) and Scott Andrzejewski (1) were the scorers. Andrzejewski's goal came off a header, assisted by Ben Topolski's corner kick in the seventy-fourth minute.
The Bison take on Catholic University in nonconference play at home on Thursday, September 27. The first pass goes at 4:00 p.m.
