Lions rain on Bison, 7-0

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Gallaudet University men's soccer team sloshed through another shutout loss on Saturday at Hotchkiss Field. The Bison fell 7-0 to Penn State Harrisburg before 25 rain-soaked fans as sheets of cold rain fell throughout the game.

Penn State Harrisburg (4-10) had six different goal scorers in the victory led by Nik Light (two goals) and Michael Urich (three assists). The Lions scored five first half goals and outshot the Bison 20-2 (36-3 in the game).

Gallaudet (0-16) continues to search for its first win this season. Sophomore goalie Poloko Qobose (Gaborone, Botswana) made four saves in the loss. This is the 13th time, fourth straight, the Bison have been shut out in 2009.

The Bison will next host Hood College as part of Homecoming Weekend on Friday, October 23, at 7:30 p.m.
