Southern Virginia shuts out Gallaudet

BUENA VISTA, Va. - For the second time this season the Gallaudet University men's soccer team lost to Southern Virginia University. This time around the Bison lost on the road as SVU shutout Gallaudet, 5-0, on Saturday.
Gallaudet (0-14) suffers its 10th shutout of the season as Southern Virginia controlled the game early on. SVU (7-3-1) had four different goal scorers in the win led by Josh Patino, who scored twice. The Knights led 4-0 at the half.
Sophomore goalie Poloko Qobose (Gaborone, Botswana) made 16 saves in the loss for the Bison.
Southern Virginia outshot Gallaudet 43-7 and took seven corner kicks. GU midfielder Pantong Dashwet (Jos, Nigeria) took a team-high two shots.
The two teams met in Washington, D.C., back on September 25 when the Knights won 4-1.
The Bison will next travel to Fredericksburg, Va., on Wednesday, October 14, to face University of Mary Washington. The Capital Athletic Conference game will begin at 4 p.m.
