Gallaudet men's volleyball club falls to American University, 3-1, at home

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Gallaudet University men's volleyball returned to the Field House on Monday night when the Bison club team hosted American University before a crowd of 200. The Bison lost 3-1 as the visiting Eagles' club team won 25-20, 15-25, 19-25, 20-25.

Sophomore Max Wilding (Colorado Springs, Colo.) led the Bison attack with six kills while teammate Manuel Rivero added six kills, two service aces and one block. Junior DJ Everton-Lovell (Norfolk, Va.) added five kills and two blocks and senior outside hitter Jon Terpak (Whitney Point, N.Y.) tallied four kills followed by freshman outside hitter Ryan Poindexter (Dallas, Texas), who added two kills. The Bison tied the match after the second set that they won 25-15. American won the third and fourth sets, both of which were closely contested.

Gallaudet will next travel to Lancaster, Pa., to face future North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) foe Lancaster Bible College and Stevenson University on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 4 p.m.
