Men's Cross Country continues to grow as Wilding leads Bison at Wilmington Invitational
WILMINGTON, Del. - The Gallaudet University men's cross country team is continuing to grow as the Bison had a third runner compete on Saturday in the 9th Annual Wilmington University Cross Country Invitational held at Carousel Park in Wilmington, Del.
Freshman Max Wilding (Colorado Springs, Colo.) led the way for the Buff and Blue as he finished the 5-mile race in 65th place out of 83 runners with a time of 37 minutes and five seconds. Fellow freshman Richard Camacho (Medford, Ore.) placed 79th with a time of 42:16 and freshman Min Loo Lee made his collegiate debut and finished 81st with a time of 44:01.
The host Wilmington University won the men's race with 35 points as the Wildcats edged out Philadelphia University by one point while University of the Sciences in Philadelphia rounded out the top three spots with 69 team points. A team needs five runners to earn team points.
The top runner was senior Shawn D'Andrea from Philadelphia University who won the race with a stellar time of 27:38.
Gallaudet will next run in the York (Pa.) College Invitational on Saturday, September 19, at 10 a.m. in York, Pa.
