Gallaudet's Otto Kingstedt named NEAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for Sept. 8 and freshman Otto Kingstedt (Stockholm, Sweden) was chosen as the NEAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week after a record-setting performance last Saturday.

Kingstedt just missed winning the SU Fall Classic at Winterplace Park last weekend when the freshman finished a second off the pace of the winning time set by U.S. Naval Academy runner Michael Karls. Kingstedt finished the 8K course in 26 minutes, 8.98 seconds, which is the fourth fastest time in school history, and was second overall among 111 runners.

This is the first time in Gallaudet history that a runner has earned a NEAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor.
