Gallaudet Drops Double Header to St. Paul

WASHINGTON, DC-- The sun was shining today as Gallaudet faced an away double header with St. Paul.  The Lady Bison went into this game with their heads held high as pitcher Kallie Williams started the game.  However, 12 runs, including 3 homeruns made by St. Paul made it difficult for Gallaudet to match that effort on the offensive end.  St. Paul players made it to base due to errors made on the defensive end.  On the offensive side, Kallie Williams, Caitlin Mosholder and Devin Quinn each had a pair of hits for the Lady Bison, but it simply was not enough to keep up with St. Paul.  The final score was 12-4, but Gallaudet still had a second chance.

The second game of the afternoon was a much improved Gallaudet.  Alicia Balzer pitch 2 innings for the Lady Bison and Paige Johnson took over after the 2nd inning.  The defense tightened up, but the uneven outfield made the outfielders work hard.  Offensively, the Lady Bison seemed to be a new team.  Together, they rallied 19 hits without any strike outs.  K. Williams was able to get 4 hits for the Lady Bison, and M. George tallied 3 more.  The efforts were there, but the Lady Bison still fell short.  The final score was 14+12.

The Lady Bison take on CAC opponent, Salisbury University.  The away double header is scheduled to being at 3 and 4:30 on Tuesday April 7.
