Marymount bests Gallaudet, 75-35

WASHINGTON,DC--The Bison tipped off their CAC slate at home in the Field House tonight with a 75-35 loss against the Saints of Marymount University.

The Saints got in front with a 38-13 lead over Gallaudet at the half, led by guard Kathryn Wilson's 11 points. Gallaudet's veteran Brittainy Payne posted six points to pace the Bison.

On the boards, the Buff and Blue edged the Saints 22-24, with Priscilla Biskupiak and Rachel Benedict grabbing five apiece. Inside players Payne and Nukeitra Hayes battled for four each.

In the second half, Biskupiak led the Bison with nine points and she would finish the night off a team-high 12 points, 2 assists and 2 steals. Freshman Rachel Benedict had 8 boards to lead the Buff and Blue, while the Saints were led by Wilson's 13. Ultimately, the Saints prevailed on the boards, going 24-9 in the second half to finish off with 47 to Gallaudet's 33.


The Bison (1-4, 0-1 CAC) continue conference play as they host Wesley College on Saturday, December 1 at 4:00 p.m. in the Field House.
