Buff and Blue send off for Gallaudet women's basketball set for Thursday afternoon
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Gallaudet University campus community is encouraged to come out to a special send off celebration for the women’s basketball team this Thursday, March 3, at 4:15 p.m. in front of the Field House before the Bison leave for the NCAA tournament. Please arrive early and wear your Buff and Blue and cheer on the women’s basketball team as they embark on their journey to Juniata College. Gallaudet President Alan Hurwitz, Athletic Director Michael Weinstock, Coach Kevin Cook and Student Body Government President Colin Whited will address the crowd before the team leaves at 4:30 p.m. If there is bad weather the event will take place in the gym.
The Bison will face the Eagles from Juniata on Friday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Huntingdon, Pa., in the first round of the NCAA tournament. This is Gallaudet’s first appearance in the NCAA tournament since 1999 and only the third time in program history.
