GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for Nov. 24 and junior guard Zamica Gage (Washington, D.C.) was chosen as the NEAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week after outstanding performances last week.
Gage averaged 18.5 points, 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game last week as the Bison (1-2, 1-1 NEAC) split a pair of NEAC games. She opened the week with game highs of 23 points and six assists to go along with two rebounds and two steals in a 69-61 win over Penn College last Wednesday. She would again lead all scorers with 14 points while recording a team-best four steals along with a pair of assists and rebounds in a 66-59 setback to Saint Elizabeth last Saturday. Gage is now the team's leading scorer through three contests at 19.3 points per game.
This is Gage's first NEAC Player of the Week award and the first Gallaudet Bison to earn a NEAC award this season.
Gallaudet will travel to Randolph College (3-1) on Wednesday, Nov. 26, for a non-conference 2 p.m. game.
