Gallaudet Wrestling Excels at Mid-Atlantic Conference Championship

Led by 235 pounder Justin Lathus, who went 4-1 with 3 pins, to finish in third place, Gallaudet wrestlers excelled at the conference championships last weekend.
After returning to wrestling, following several years without the sport, Gallaudet showed the college wrestling world what a bright future they have. Three wrestlers advanced to the National Collegiate Wrestling Association's 2009 Mid-Atlantic Conference Championship, which was held at Southern Virginia University.
Lathus advances to the NCWA 2009 Nationals to be held at Hampton University March 12-14. Gallaudet Head Coach Thad Ferguson said, "All in all, this has been a very exciting season for Gallaudet Wrestling, especially after returning to the sport following a hiatus of several years. We will build on the success of this season, and many other wrestlers have contacted me and are interested in wrestling for Gallaudet next year."
