WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University women's soccer team were shutout, 7-0, by Keuka College here Sunday in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game at Hotchkiss Field. Gallaudet (1-5, 0-3 NEAC) has lost five straight since it's season-opening win and has been outscored 16-0 in the past four games.
Sophomore Carly Sanford scored a hat trick for Keuka (4-2, 4-0 NEAC) in a 13-minute span, early in the first half. Freshman forward Nicole Browe scored one of her two first half goals in the fourth minute of the game before Sanford scored three straight. Browe and Sanford accounted for all five Wolfpack goals in the first half as Keuka led, 5-0, at halftime. Sophomore Abbey David had two assists, both off her corner kicks, in the first half.
Emily Wolf and Sarah Hartman added two second half goals for the Wolfpack, who played several players down in final 30 minutes of the contest. Keuka goalie
Junior goalie Jennifer Livengood (Jacksonville, Fla.) turned away 11 shots as she faced 18 shots on goal. Keuka outshot Gallaudet, 31-11, and held a 7-2 edge in corner kicks. Goalie Kenna Kosinski (one save) picked up the win for the Wolfpack. In the second half, Sophia Dimkos spelled Kosinski and made three saves.
GU will hit the road next weekend for a pair of NEAC games which begins on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Lancaster Bible College at 1 p.m.
