LANCASTER, Pa. - The Gallaudet University women's soccer team was defeated 8-0 here Wednesday afternoon after a strong offensive performance by Lancaster Bible College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest.
Freshman goalkeeper Silvya Levesque (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) had a busy day in goal for the Bison (2-8, 1-7 NEAC) as she stopped 14 of the 22 shots that Lancaster Bible (7-4, 6-1 NEAC) put on goal.
The Chargers defense completely shut down the the Bison offense preventing them for registering a shot in the game.
Lancaster Bible was led by Abi Brady (three goals) who netted a hat trick during a seven-minute stretch of the first half.
- This is the fourth game that Levesque has saved 10 or more shots in a game
- Gallaudet took no corner kicks
- The Chargers fired 47 shots toward the Bison goal
The Bison remain on the road traveling to Reading, Pa., on Saturday, Oct. 8, to take on NEAC's top team Penn-St. Berks (7-2-1, 6-0 NEAC) at 1 p.m.
