MARCY, N.Y. - The Gallaudet University women's soccer team was shut out on the road, 6-0, here Saturday by SUNY Poly in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game.
The Wildcats (11-4-1, 8-3 NEAC) overwhelmed the Bison (2-13, 1-11 NEAC), blasting a barrage of shots (47) in the direction of the Bison goal while holding Gallaudet to only two shots.
Freshman goalkeeper Silvya Levesque (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) put up 19 saves, two shy of her career-high, for the Bison in her return. The persistent pressure by the Wildcats kept the Bison defense on their heels.
The Wildcats' offense was led by junior midfielder Brittany Waterbury (two goals, two assists). Waterbury set up freshman midfielder Madisyn Proper (one goal, two assists) in the 13th minute for the first goal of the game. Waterbury then assisted sophomore forward Nakeya Stedman in the 18th minute as the Wildcats led 2-0 early. Waterbury netted the first of two goals in the 27th minute off an assist from Proper. SUNY Poly tacked on another goal in the 40th minute to take a 4-0 lead into halftime.
The Wildcats continued to dominate both offensively and defensively throughout the second half. SUNY Poly added two more goals and held the Bison to one shot on goal.

- Sophomore forward Brittany Mallach (Milton, Ontario) took one shot on goal
- Levesque made recorded a double-digit save total for the sixth time in her career
- Gallaudet took one corner kick
GU wraps up its NEAC schedule tomorrow (Sunday, Oct. 23) at SUNY Cobleskill (5-10, 1-9 NEAC) at noon.
