Gallaudet connections at 2015 World Deaf Swimming Championships

SAN ANTONIO – The 2015 World Deaf Swimming Championships will get underway here this weekend and Gallaudet University swimming and diving will have a connection to the championships. Bison men's and women's swimming and diving head coach Larry Curran is one of the coaches for Team USA. Former Bison men's swimming standout Brian Bennett is the head coach for Team USA after being an assistant coach at Gallaudet for three seasons. Bennett still holds 10 Gallaudet men's swimming records. Former Gallaudet swimming and diving head coach Bill Snape is a part of Team USA's management group and board member of USA Deaf Swimming and will be cheering on the red, white and blue next week.

There are no current Gallaudet swimmers participating in the World Deaf Swimming Championships.

The 2015 World Deaf Swimming Championships run from Aug. 17-22 at the Northside Swimming Center. You can follow the championships online here http://www.wdsc2015.us/home.html.
