Carlisle Robinson named NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week for a second straight week
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards and for the second straight week senior Carlisle Robinson (Carmel, Ind.) was named the women’s swimming and diving recipient for the week of January 31. She earned the same honor a week ago on January 24.
Robinson had a terrific 'Senior Day' for the Bison as they hosted Hollins University and Marymount (Va.) University. GU earned a split with a 144-91 win over Hollins and lost 151-88 to Marymount. Robinson finished first in the 200 yard butterfly against both Hollins and Marymount with a time of 2:28.62. She finish first against Hollins and second against Marymount in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:06.08, and again finished first against Hollins and second against Marymount in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:11.41. Robinson was also a member of the 200 medley relay team that was first against Hollins but second against the Saints with a time of 2:12.68.
Gallaudet now has a total of 17 NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week awards for this season. The GU women’s swim team is now preparing for the NEAC championships that will be held in Cobleskill, N.Y., on February 18-20.
