Hardaway, Israel represent Gallaudet at Millersville Spring Opener

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Two Gallaudet University women’s track and field members competed at the Millersville Spring Opener on Saturday. Freshmen Kayla Hardaway (Austin, Texas) and Jessica Israel (Frederick, Md.) competed in two events each. There was no team scores kept for this meet.

Hardaway finished 23rd overall in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:21.25. She was 30th in the 100-meter hurdles (19.33 seconds). Both times were slower than the ones she posted last week at the Goucher Classic.

Israel threw in two events as she finished 26th overall in the javelin with a toss of 17.81 meters and was 27th in discus (23.27 meters). Israel’s tosses were not as far as the ones she recorded at the Goucher Classic last week.

GU is slated to travel to Virginia on Saturday, April 10, to participate in the Lynchburg Classic.
