Bison women's track and field goes up against Division I, II and III competition at Millersville Metrics

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Gallaudet University women’s track and field team participated in the Millersville Metrics on Saturday hosted by Millersville University at Biemesderfer Stadium. The Bison went up against stiff competition as the field featured Division I, II and III programs. There were no team scores kept.

Gallaudet’s top performer was sophomore Jessica Israel (Frederick, Md.) in the shot put (10.91 meters) and freshman Leslye Kang (Wayne, N.J.) in the javelin (34.26 meters).

The Bison 4x100 meter relay team finished eighth with a time of 59.30 seconds. The team consisted of freshmen Stephanie Weiss (Wellington, Fla.), Tiffany Bridgett, sophomore Maddie Morgan (Hockessin, Del.) and senior Brittainy Payne (Pine Hill, N.J.). The Bison also had seven runners finish between 24th-32nd in the 100-meter dash.

Gallaudet will next head north to Baltimore on Saturday, April 16, to participate in the Johns Hopkins University-Loyola University Invitational held at the Loyola Track Complex.
