GU volleyball set to host CAC first round tournament match on Tuesday night

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Gallaudet University volleyball team will begin its postseason tomorrow night (Tuesday, November 3) as the Bison host Marymount (Va.) University in the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference tournament at 8 p.m. in the Field House.
Gallaudet (22-13) enters as the third-seed in the CAC tournament while Marymount (18-13) enters as the sixth-seed. The winner will advance to Thursday night's semifinal round at University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va. GU defeated Marymount earlier this season 3-2 back on September 24. The Bison won the first, fourth and fifth sets while the Saints held a 2-1 lead heading into the fourth set. Gallaudet lost 3-2 at home to Mary Washington on October 1.
Seniors Justine Jeter (Noblesville, Ind.), Amanda Krieger (Carmel, Ind.) and Shana Lehmann (Frederick, Md.) could play their final home collegiate match of their careers on Tuesday night. Gallaudet is 8-2 this season at the Field House. The GU athletics department hopes to have a strong attendance to help the Bison onto victory and another CAC championship.
