Gallaudet women's volleyball to host Dig Pink night on Thursday, October 13
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Gallaudet University women’s volleyball team takes to the court tomorrow (Thursday, October 13) for a conference matchup with Penn St.-Harrisburg at 7 p.m. in the Field House. Gallaudet will be dressed in pink as it participates in the annual American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Dig Pink night. Dig Pink is a fundraising initiative of the Side-Out Foundation, which benefits breast cancer patients. Over 950 college, middle/high school, and club volleyball coaches and teams are involved in supporting Dig Pink each year.
All proceeds from the game benefit the Side-Out Foundation, which in turn awards grants to medical research organizations and entities dedicated to providing compassionate support to breast cancer patients and their families.
The Bison will be wearing special pink jerseys for the game. Fans are encouraged to show support by wearing pink and cheering on the Bison at this annual event. There is a $5 general admission fee for the game. Children under 12 and full-time Gallaudet students with a valid ID are admitted free. Donations will also be accepted at the door.
If you can’t make the game and you would like to help the Bison reach their fundraising goal please donate online here - www.side-out.org/application/ous/fundraising_page/2503.
