WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Gallaudet University campus community is invited to come out to a special send off celebration for the women’s volleyball team this Thursday, November 10, at 9 a.m. in front of the Field House before the Bison leave for the NCAA tournament. Please arrive early and wear your Buff and Blue and cheer on the women’s volleyball team as they begin their journey to Newport News, Va., and the 2011 NCAA Division III women’s volleyball tournament. If there is bad weather the event will take place in the gym.

The Bison (28-7) will face the Sea Gulls of Salisbury University (31-3) on Friday, November 11, at 5:30 p.m. in the Freeman Center at Christopher Newport University in the first round. This is Gallaudet’s second straight appearance in the NCAA tournament and eighth overall. GU has won back-to-back North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) championships.
