WINCHESTER, Va. - The Gallaudet University women's cross country team finished 15th out of 16 teams here Saturday at the Hornet Harrier meet hosted by Shenandoah University on a warm Saturday. The Bison had to navigate a hilly course at Kernstown Battlefield as they accumulated 381 team points.
Baldwin Wallace University won the women's 5K race with 40 team points. Catholic University of America was second with 79 points followed by the host Hornets from Shenandoah with 108 points. Baldwin Wallace sophomore Bella Pendoia won the race in 19 minutes, 35 seconds.
Gallaudet senior Kristi Luna (Austin, Texas) was the first Bison to finish in 58th place with a time of 23:50.4. Freshman Taylor Nguyen (Ballwin, Mo.) was the second Bison to cross the finish line in 71st place (24:59.0). Sophomore Nicole Musey (Prince George, British Columbia) was Gallaudet's third runner to complete the course in 27:07.9 in 96th place followed by Lordes Valenzuela (Sonora, Mexico) in 117th place (32:40.0) and senior Ivy Sahneyah (First Mesa, Ariz.) in 118th place (32:56.5).
- Sophomore Jessalyn Wortham (Chandler, Ariz.) finished in 120th place out 124 runners with a time of 34:53.6.

Gallaudet will make the mid-week trip to Lancaster, Pa., on Thursday, Sept. 28, to run in the Lancaster Bible College Invitational at 4 p.m.
