Q: Does Gallaudet University offer athletic scholarships?
A: No. Gallaudet is a NCAA Division III athletic program and no athletic scholarships are awarded. Students may be eligible to receive academic scholarships to help with attending Gallaudet.

Q: When can I workout at the Fitness Complex?
A: The Fitness Complex is split into two areas – the weight room and the fitness area (upstairs of Field House – overlooking pool). The general opening times are as follows and subject to change: Click here for latest hours.

Q: If I am on an athletic team do I workout with the team?
A: Yes. You will be required to participate in all athletic activities that are required by your head coach.

Q: What type of physical shape should I be in if I want to try out for a varsity team?
A: Each sport has its own physical requirements. We welcome all Gallaudet students who are interested in trying out for a sport to contact that respective head coach to obtain the preseason testing regimen and to share your previous playing experience in high school or at other levels.

Q: If I am a member of a varsity team am I allowed to gamble on sports (pro sports, fantasy sports, March Madness bracket pools)?
A: The NCAA opposes all forms of legal and illegal sports wagering, which has the potential to undermine the integrity of sports contests and jeopardizes the welfare of student-athletes and the intercollegiate athletics community.
