"I plan to work very hard to support our underrepresented and under-recognized student-athletes. I also hope to strengthen partnerships with the wonderful on-campus entities and resources that we have available. With this in plan, my goal is to provide our student-athletes with a well-rounded experience that will set them up for success here at Gallaudet and after when they begin their professional careers."

Giles Bean will be responsible for providing visionary leadership, strategic planning and program development to improve academic success for Bison student-athletes. She will work with all GU athletic teams, coaches, staff and student-athletes; particularly historically underrepresented and underserved populations focusing on retention and academic and personal growth and success.
