WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University Athletics Department has announced the December Bison of the Month recipients presented by Gallaudet Interpreting Services(GIS). The women’s basketball team played two games in the Gallaudet University Holiday Tournament in December, winning both, including a 61-19 win over University of Valley Forge and beating Howard Community College, 70-60, in the championship game. The HCC game is considered an exhibition since it is a two-year college. Gage totaled a phenomenal 48 points in two games, grabbed 18 rebounds and had 12 steals.

“We are very pleased with Zamica’s commitment to our program,” said Gallaudet women’s basketball coach Stephanie Stevens. “With the help of her dominating presence on the court we are looking forward to our team's success this season.”

Gordon tallied 62 points grabbed 19 rebounds, six steals and five assists in three games started. He made 22 of 43 (.511 percent) from the field and drained 12 three-pointers during the month of December.

“Trey is our toughest, hardest working player who took his game to a different level this year and deserves all of the recognition coming his way,” said Gallaudet men's basketball coach Brendan Stern. “It’s been a true privilege to watch him play.”

These are the fourth Bison of the Month awards for the 2014-15 athletic season.
