WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Gallaudet University baseball team will rub elbows with Major League Baseball (MLB) this weekend when This Week In Baseball (TWIB) features the Bison on its national weekly television show. TWIB airs this Saturday, May 21, on Fox at 12:30 p.m. (EST) before the national game of the week. The show re-airs on the MLB Network on Sunday, May 22, at 12:30 p.m. (EST). Please check your local listings to verify the right channel and times in your area.
This Week In Baseball came out to Kendall Green in April to interview head coach Curtis Pride and several of the Bison student-athletes on the baseball team. TWIB stuck around and filmed several Bison home games. The feature is about overcoming odds and how the Bison have experienced a rapid change since Coach Pride joined Gallaudet. The team improved from 4-34 last season to winning a program best 17 games in 2011.
TWIB has been around for 34 years as Major League Baseball’s main highlight show as the show covers the big leagues to the minor leagues and other interesting baseball stories across the country.
This Week In Baseball is Major League Baseball’s weekly television program designed to highlight MLB and has been on the Fox network since 2000. TWIB can be seen on video boards in stadiums, as well as internationally in Australia, Canada, Cuba, The Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Japan, Latin America, The Middle East, The Netherlands, Antilles, Nicaragua, Panama and Taiwan.
