WASHINGTON, D.C. – Gallaudet University baseball coach Curtis Pride announced today his 2nd annual GU Baseball Golf Classic will be held Monday, October 17, at the Norbeck Country Club in Olney, Md. The golf classic raised over $12,000 last year to help the Bison baseball program.
“I was really encouraged and excited by the outpouring of support and interest we had in the tournament last year,” said Pride. “We raised some much needed funds to help support the Gallaudet baseball program and my goal is to hopefully double the amount this fall. I encourage all Gallaudet alumni, the campus community and supporters of the Bison to come out and participate or sponsor the golf classic.”
The GU Baseball Golf Classic is open to anybody willing to play, have a fun time and help the Bison baseball program. The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast as the official start to the tournament is at 9 a.m. followed by lunch and awards.
