GU drops first game of three to Penn St.-Berks on Friday

READING, Pa. - Gallaudet University began its final three-game North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) baseball series of the season here Friday as the Bison traveled to Penn St.-Berks. The host Nittany Lions won 26-2.

Gallaudet (9-28, 2-14 NEAC) scored the game's first run and added a run in the eighth inning.

Penn St.-Berks (20-13, 11-5 NEAC) tied up the game with a run in the bottom of the second en route to plating 19-unanswered runs over the course of six innings. The Nittany Lions broke open an 1-1 game in the third inning with eight runs. 

Junior Robersy Delgado (Tampa, Fla.) started on the mound and took his ninth loss of the season as he allowed 12 runs (nine earned) on 11 hits, eight walks and one strikeout in four innings of work.

Penn St.-Berks starting pitcher Alex Laudenslager (5-1) won his fifth game of the season as he threw five innings and allowed one unearned run on two hits, walked one and struck out six.

Junior Connor Rosko (Austin, Texas) led the Bison with two singles in the loss.
