WASHINGTON – Gallaudet University football team took a break from the preseason grind Wednesday to lend a helping hand to the incoming freshman class during the annual move-in day on campus.
Move-in day has been a strong tradition for the football program, helping new students setup their new homes with ease at Benson Hall. This gives the Bison an opportunity to greet new students and generate support for the upcoming football season.
“The players are always happy to help the community at Gallaudet,” said head coach Chuck Goldstein, who enters his fifth season. “We hope to see all the new students, and current students at all the home games (for all sports) this year cheering on the Bison.”
Gallaudet kicks off its season on Saturday, Sept. 6, at home against Shenandoah University in a non-conference game under the lights at Hotchkiss Field at 7 p.m.
