Gallaudet's Darrion Green earns his second ECFC Rookie of the Week

MARSHFIELD, Mass. - The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) announced its weekly honors for the week of Nov. 13 and Gallaudet University freshman slot Darrion Green (DeSoto, Texas) was selected as the Rookie of the Week for a second straight time this season.

After a scoreless third quarter, Gallaudet got on the scoreboard with a pair of Green rushing touchdowns (14 and 19 yards) in the final quarter of the 2017 season. Green accounted for the only Bison scores on the day against SUNY Maritime and had 81 yards on 10 carries.

The rookie rushed for 393 yards on 45 carries during his rookie campaign as he led GU with six rushing touchdowns.

Senior running back John Smith from Husson University was named ECFC Offensive Player of the Week, Alfred St. junior defensive lineman John Lauretti was selected as ECFC Defensive Player of the Week while SUNY Maritime senior kicker Matthew Murphy earned his fifth ECFC Special Teams Player of the Week honor this season.

This is Gallaudet's fourth ECFC Player of the Week award this season and the second for Green.
