MARSHFIELD, Mass. - The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) announced its weekly honors for the week of Oct. 21 and Gallaudet University junior RJ Randle (McCalla, Ala.) was named Offensive Player of the Week.
Randle ran for a career-best 239 yards on 14 carries (average of 17.1 per rush) and scored two touchdowns of 32 and 59 yards in the second half as Gallaudet defeated Alfred State, 62-41. The 239 rushing yards in a game is a new program record during the modern era of Gallaudet football. Randle leads the ECFC in rushing with 425 rushing yards on 47 carries in five games (85.0 yards average per game) with five touchdowns.
Dean College freshman linebacker Desmond Dias was selected as the ECFC Defensive Player of the Week, Alfred State College freshman wide receiver Shy'rel Broadwater took home ECFC Rookie of the Week honors while SUNY Maritime sophomore kicker Joseph Gagliardi was named ECFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
This is Gallaudet's fourth ECFC Player of the Week awards this season. This is Randle's first ECFC Player of the Week award in his career.

Gallaudet (2-3, 2-0 ECFC) will host Dean College (2-4, 2-0 ECFC) this Saturday, Oct. 26, at 1 p.m. on Homecoming.
