WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University men’s soccer team made its return to the pitch on April 24 as head coach Pedro Braz held an alumni game under the lights at Hotchkiss Field. The Bison alumni, consisting of players as far back as 1960s and 1970s classes to more recent graduates, defeated the current GU club team, 4-2, before several hundred fans. The two teams battled to a 2-2 tie in the first half.
"I want to thank the Gallaudet men’s soccer alumni and fans for coming out to support the return of Bison men’s soccer. We hope to make this alumni game a yearly thing," said Braz. "This is the start of building a strong program."
Gallaudet will make its official return to varsity status on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, when the Bison host Patrick Henry College at 7 p.m.
