GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2017 Men's Soccer All-Conference selections and Gallaudet University senior forward Sean Huber (Orange, Calif.) was named to the third team.
Huber ranks seventh in the NEAC for goals (8), 12th in points (17) and 14th in shots (42). The two-year letterwinner leads the Gallaudet offense in goals (8), points (17), shots (42) and shots on goal (21). Huber has posted a .500 shots on goal percentage as he has played in all 16 games (14 starts) this season. He has two hat tricks and has scored goals in four different games this year. Huber helped GU win three of its final four conference games.
Penn St.-Berks freshman Brenden Valverde was named the NEAC Player and Rookie of the Year as he led the conference with 22 goals and 50 points. Penn St.-Abington senior Andrew Costa was recognized as the NEAC Defensive Player of the Year while his coach David Castellanos was selected by his peers as the NEAC Coach of the Year as the Nittany Lions went 13-6 overall, 10-0 in conference and earned their third NEAC regular-season title.
This is Gallaudet's third All-NEAC honor since the school joined the conference in 2010.
