Gallaudet ruins Keuka's shutout bid with penalty kick goal

WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University men's soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision to Keuka College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game here Saturday on Hoy Field during homecoming.

Gallaudet (2-12, 2-6 NEAC) ended the shutout in the 76th minute when freshman Austen Ercolino (Milton, Ontario) scored his first collegiate goal as he scored against Keuka goalie Ryan Mavretish (nine saves).

Keuka (5-6-2, 4-2-1 NEAC) scored a quick goal to begin the game and added back-to-back tallies in a three-minute span between the 23rd and 26th minute mark. Keuka took a 3-0 lead into halftime. Two of Keuka's goals came from Joshua Card (two goals, one assist).

The Wolves added a fourth goal minutes into the second half. Sean Pasono scored his fifth goal of the season off an assist from Samba Doukhansy in the 59th minute.

GU sophomore goalie Noah Means-Simonsen (Louisville, Ky.) ended the game with seven saves.

Gallaudet will host its final home conference game of the season tomorrow (Sunday, Oct. 22) as the Bison face Wells College (4-8-1, 3-4 NEAC) at 12:30 p.m. at Hotchkiss Field.
