Bison fall on the road to Penn St.-Abington

ABINGTON, Pa. - The Gallaudet University men's soccer team lost 3-1 on the road Saturday to Penn St.-Abington in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game.

Gallaudet (1-11, 1-5 NEAC) scored the game's first goal when senior Sean Huber (Orange, Calif.) netted his fifth goal of the season off an assist from junior Connor Baer (Fremont, Calif.) in the seventh minute.

Penn St.-Abington (7-6, 5-0 NEAC), the top team in the NEAC South Division, answered with a goal six minutes later off the foot of Michael Albers. The two teams went into the half knotted at 1-1.

In the second half, the Nittany Lions got two more goals past sophomore goalie Noah Means-Simonsen (Louisville, Ky.) in the 53rd and 61st minute.

  • The Bison held a 6-4 edge in corner kicks
  • The Nittany Lions doubled up the Bison on shots 15-8
  • Huber led GU with four shots (two on goal)

GU returns home and will host Lancaster Bible College (6-6-2, 2-1-1 NEAC) on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 4 p.m. in a NEAC South Division game.
