WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University men's soccer team fell 2-0 to SUNY Cobleskill in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game here on a sunny, cool Saturday afternoon at Hoy Field.

Gallaudet (4-8, 3-5 NEAC) had a handful of scoring chances in both halves but trailed SUNY Cobleskill (7-7, 4-2 NEAC) at the half by two goals. The Fighting Tigers scored twice, in just over a minute span, several minutes before intermission.

Mamadou Seck scored an unassisted goal in the 37th minute as his shot got past Gallaudet goalie Shane Angel (Mechanicsville, Md.). The goal was Seck's second of the season.

Cobleskill struck again as its leading scorer, Patrick McGovern, netted his 13th goal of the season off an assist from Moussa Bamba at the 38:25 mark.

The Fighting Tigers held a 10-4 edge in shots in the first half and 8-5 advantage in the second half.

  • Freshman forward Chad Johnson (Gardena, Calif.) led the team with three shots (two on goal)
  • Senior forward Sean Huber (Orange, Calif.) had three shots
  • Both teams took four corner kicks

Gallaudet will host University of Valley Forge (2-8) at Hotchkiss Field in a non-conference game on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m.
